We at the Shear Bliss Pet Salon pride ourselves on our service.
To provide ALL of our very important clients with the safest and most enjoyable visit possible, please read our policies and procedures below.
To ensure a safe, calm, and relaxing environment for all of our furry guests, we kindly ask that clients remain in our reception area upon arrival. Unexpected sights and sounds can be distracting to pets while our groomers are working with precision tools, and their safety and comfort are always our top priority.
For the health and safety of every pet in our care, state law requires that all guests have up-to-date Rabies, Distemper and Parvovirus vaccination records on file prior to their appointment. To ensure a safe environment for all of our furry friends, we strictly enforce this policy without exception. You can easily submit your pet’s records in advance by emailing them to shearblisspet@aol.com or sending a photo via Facebook Messenger.
Scheduling & Stay Details:

Standard Grooming Time: Most appointments take 2 to 3 hours of dedicated care.

Flexible Drop-off & Extended Stays: If you need to drop off more than 15 minutes early or need your pet to stay a bit longer, please let us know when booking so we can accommodate your schedule.

Prompt Pick-up: To ensure a calm environment and fresh experience, we kindly ask that pets be picked up within 30 minutes of completion.

Out of respect for all of our scheduled guests, we maintain a strict 15-minute grace period. Arriving more than 15 minutes late will result in having to reschedule your appointment. Please note that phone calls are our only accepted method of contact—if you are running late, please reach out to us at 319-235-9851.
To ensure we can accommodate all of our valued clients, we ask for a minimum of 24 hours' advance notice if you need to reschedule an appointment. While we always do our best to be flexible, repeated late cancellations or missed visits will require a service fee prior to scheduling your next appointment.
To maintain a clean, comfortable, and pest-free environment for all of our guests, any pet found to have fleas will automatically receive a specialized flea-treatment bath. This essential service helps protect your pet's health and ensures the safety of other salon visitors, with the additional charge added to your visit.
Your pet’s safety and comfort are our top priorities. Minor to moderate coat matting requires extra time and attention during the grooming process, and an additional fee will apply. For pets experiencing severe matting that poses a health risk, we will refer you to a veterinarian to ensure the safest care possible.
